Dr. David Guthrie

Anesthesiologist

Dr. David Guthrie

Dr. Guthrie obtained his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, graduating cum laude in 2012. He continued his education with a three-year residency in dental anesthesiology at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, culminating in board certification in dental anesthesiology.

Dr. Guthrie was inspired by his own orthodontist to pursue a career in dentistry, finding his passion in anesthesiology. He deeply values the collaborative nature of dentistry and the trust that is placed in him by dentists and their patients. With a deep understanding of physiology and pharmacology, Dr. Guthrie is committed to providing safe and effective anesthesia while creating a comfortable and supportive environment for all.

Dr. Guthrie resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and four children. When not practicing anesthesiology, he can be found cheering on Notre Dame (Go Irish!), cooking, grilling, running, reading, or coaching his children’s youth sports teams.
