Full-Mouth Dental Implants

Full-Mouth Dental Implants

Full-mouth dental implant treatment involves surgically placing four to eight small titanium posts into the jawbone to restore a full arch of missing teeth. After your implants are placed, you’ll leave the office the same day with a temporary set of teeth that look and feel just like natural teeth, giving you a first glimpse of your final smile. After allowing an appropriate amount of time for your implants to heal, we will place your permanent set of teeth to complete your beautiful new smile.

What can you expect from treatment?

Short answer: You’ll never be without a smile.

While treatment plans vary from patient to patient based on individual needs and preferences, here is a general summary of what you can expect when undergoing full-mouth dental implant treatment.

  1. At your first visit, we will provide a consultation that includes a thorough evaluation of your mouth that includes CAT scans, photographic analysis and digital intraoral scan. We’ll provide multiple treatment options, along with the associated costs, so you can make an informed decision that works best for you.
  2. Once a treatment plan is accepted, we’ll schedule surgery to address any bone and gum problems. Dental implant treatment is broken into two main phases: surgery and placement of your new teeth.
  3. After surgery, you’ll need about three or four months to heal before we place your new teeth, though this time can vary depending on your specific circumstances. In the meantime, you’ll have a set of temporary teeth that are fully functional and very close to your permanent smile. We will also use this time to make any necessary adjustments so that your final smile is even better than you imagined!
